Why Wordpress Reason 8 of 10
Keeping Your Website Safe and Secure
Having your website hacked can be a painful experience. This is becoming less and less a problem with Wordpress sites because the Wordpress code is hardened against hacking on every release.
Also, there are tools and plugins to help maintain the security.
- Login Lockdown – which locks down login after 3 failed attempts.
- Wordpress File Monitor – which sends a warning email if any file changes.
There are also many tools for to help keep a backup of your Wordpress site. Making a backup is truly the most important security requirement (true for any website whether using Wordpress or not). If you keep a backup of your site you can quickly restore your site from a backup prior to being hacked. Then you can make changes to further lock out the hacker.
You invest a lot of time and resources in your website and you need to know it’s safe and secure.

Why Wordpress – reason 4 of 10
Wordpress is Open Source – which allows complete customization.
Wordpress is written in an industry standard web-programming language in which the source is completely open. This means that anyone working with Wordpress can work directly in the code of the software to make changes.
Therefore, a designer/developer has access to make any changes to a Wordpress site.
For example, you may have seen a Wordpress theme you like, but you need to change the colors to match your logo. Your designer can easily go into the code of the system and change the colors, or the layout, or the images used, or anything. Maybe you are using a Plugin, but it lacks an option that you’d really like to have. No problem, your developer can adapt it for you to any specification.
With WordPress, anything is possible.
It is a completely open website builder.
